Dr Karl Möller, PhD

'Having grown up in the north of Germany, my wife Maja and I moved to Cheltenham in 1994 where I did my PhD in Old Testament at the University of Gloucestershire. In 2003 we came to Morecambe in order for me to take up my post at St Martin's College (now the University of Cumbria), but prior to that I was Course Co-ordinator for the Open Theological College and Research Fellow at the University of Gloucestershire. During that time I also taught a few courses at Wycliffe Hall (Oxford). My research interests are the book of Amos, biblical hermeneutics, rhetorical criticism and historical criticism. I have published a book on Amos (entitled A Prophet in Debate: The Rhetoric of Persuasion in the Book of Amos), various articles on Old Testament studies and co-edited three books on biblical interpretation. We have two children, Tobias and Sarah, and my hobbies are cooking, good literature and football (German, of course).'
