Revd Dr Roger Latham
"Before ordination I taught in the English department at The Ferrers School, Northants, having studied English to Masters level at Leicester and Warwick Universities. I trained for ordination at St John’s College Nottingham and served my curacy in Peterborough before moving to Cumbria in 2002 as Team Vicar in the Cartmel Peninsula. Whilst in Peterborough I tutored for the diocesan Reader training scheme, and have been an honorary tutor for LCTP since 2002. I took up the vice-principal role in September 2009, and divide my time between that and being Officer for IME 4-7 (curate training) for Carlisle Diocese. My academic interests include literary approaches to the Bible, postmodern hermeneutics and the ethics of interpretation, and I am also pursuing an interest in Anglo-Saxon spirituality. In my spare time I enjoy wargaming and military history, watching and reading science fiction and fantasy, and listening to an eclectic mix of music which ranges from medieval polyphony to Goth metal."
